Originally from Kansas City, Mags moved to New York City with a goal to find something more niche within the hospitality community. I value the amazing world restaurants bring to the community so much- and it’s where I spent most of my time learning my skills of how to cook from other amazing chefs- but I knew I wanted some new experiences under my belt to hone my other skills in community building and business.
I moved to NYC to see the scene, then found a food-based nonprofit that I’ve been working for ever since! I’m so happy to be part of something that I’m able to add my skills to to promote some good in the world.
Now I do custom dinners, host popups, and have community events inside and outside of my role as Sustainable Events Chef at Rethink Food. It's been a blast getting to know the local food scene and I'm looking to do more!
